Julie Badin – Piégon, synthèse #6, 2024 (triptych). Gel pens and stickers on 250g black paper (A4, 21×29,7cm each) My body of work are built like series of reflections, hypothesis and demonstrations on what inwardness can be in its representation and its presence in real space and time. To do so, I use drawing to dig and meet what remains invisible, to extract shapes, patterns and diagrams. What I define by inwardness is this infinite, deep, invisible space-time, which one finds in oneself, a world in oneself in which one plunges and plunges again unceasingly. My vision is in relation with philosopher Jan Patočka’s definition of inwardness as « the very original ground of existence, <…> equivalent to existence ». The creative act allows me to give it a real dimension and also multiple dimensions, aiming for a form of materiality and universality. Centrality is therefore an anchor point in my work, because it is a question of positioning in relation with myself and the world, which are constantly in motion. www.juliebadin.com @julie__badin
